mnMAPu
so, over the past several years i have been noticing some weird stuff. sometimes when i would do physical activity, the left half of my body would sort of go numb for a while and i couldn t control it. Also, lot of the time when i stand up quickly, sometimes even when i stand up slowly, i get really dizzy and lose vision and feel like im going to pass out for like 10-15 seconds. there is some other stuff, but i find these to be the main problems, is this brain cancer.

Feeling lightheaded for 10-15 seconds after standing up is very common and almost everyone experiences it once or twice. It's called head rush and can often occur because you stand up to fast or you've been sitting down for too long. It's where the blood suddenly drops to your feet, and then rushes back to your head giving you a sense of lightheadedness Numbing can be caused by tight muscles. Sometimes, they tighten considerably until the blood flow stops. If the blood flow stops, your body turns numb and pale. This could be because of stress. From the sounds of it - you do not have brain cancer, although I am NOT a proffesional nor can I diagnose you. If your really worried, or your symptoms worsen.. go to the doctors. Only they can tell you whats wrong. Hope this helped.

Nope; most likely the numbness is a pinched nerve or other back issue. The dizziness and loss of vision with standing is orthostatic hypotension. Happens when not enough blood gets to the brain and the blood pressure drops after being in a lying or sitting position for a long time. Usually rising slowly, sitting on upright for a 10 seconds, standing slowly and waiting for 10 seconds before walking will do make that happen less often; sometimes unavoidable and happens to a lot of people.

No. Brain cancer symptoms are not intermittent and they generally are not chronic. Brain cancer often advances too fast to cause chronic problems. Generalized numbness on one side of the body following physical activity is likely to be caused by a nerve getting compressed in the neck regions of your spine. It would be a good idea to see your doc about this problem. Many spinal problems get progressively worse if they are corrected. The correction might be as simple as placing a rolled-up towel under your neck when you sleep, or as involved as spinal surgery. The other problem is called orthostatic hypotension or postural hypotension - a temporary drop in blood pressure due to gravity. Most of the time this effect is too brief or too mild to be of any concern. When it causes noticeable problems, it may be a symptom of anemia, a problem with low blood pressure in general, or a problem with the neurological control of blood pressure. Its aggravated by dehydration.

No. My mum had brain cancer. She was puking water and had seizures two weeks before we called an ambulance. Usually these signs can't be seen until chemotherapy. After her medicine and all of the drugs she was on, she didn't recognise my dad. She couldn't remember my name. She would pour chocolate milk over frozen garlic bread.

Prudent* to see a general surgeon*/local homeopath [for less costs]/dermatologist for physical examination, relevant investigations, accurate diagnosis and permanent cure by medication and or surgical interference. Because, in all chronic issues with complicated & confusing symptoms-involving many organs, I prefer a General Surgeon, who shall be accurate in arriving at the right diagnosis by pin-pointing the affected organ[s]/tissues and ensures fast relief with surgical interference. Much before the advent of super-specialties like nuero/pediatric/cardiac/renal/gynec/brai... gastro-enterology, oncology, and ENT etc., all these surgeries were conducted by general surgeons. Hence, a Surgeon’s approach is most appropriate and accurate. A good surgeon suggests cheapest and accurate diagnostic investigations only to ensure permanent cure. Whereas, for all acute problems/issues, a physician hits the symptoms/diseases with say, 10 stones/medicines with the hope that a few stones may hit with dramatic relief. But, it does work in many cases & with ‘no side effects’. .
